Arbitration

Arbitration is a method of alternative dispute resolution (ADR). It is used to develop mutually agreeable settlements between opposing parties rather than filing a lawsuit and taking the case to court. However, both parties must agree to arbitrate rather than go to trial.  At the end of the arbitration, the arbitrator gives the arbitration award, a legally binding settlement that is enforceable in court.

Like mediation, Arbitration hearings and agreements are confidential.

If unable to mediate a dispute to a mutually agreed upon settlement, I can be hired to continue to assist in the time and money saving process by arbitrating.  In other words, deciding on the settlement for the parties, which would be binding in court.
